Judging by the oversubscribed campsite situation in the UK, am just wondering if it's as busy in France, where we are going in a couple of days. It seems like the weather there is going to be good.

We're just on our way over. Prob stopping at Montville this evening. Will post re whether its busy or not, but as its next to a sporting facility there is always overflow parking.

Thanks, we're on our way tomorrow, it would help us plan where to go.

It's a good spot, it's good to walk around the lake after dins. Memorable because we were there the day they announced the B word results!

OK, arrived at the Aires in Neufchatel-en-Bray at after 6pm and there were 2 places available. This is July!! So can safely say that France is not a busy as in the UK. Very few MH en route. No English here, but very friendly reception from the Germans in the neighbouring van. So may stop another night here, and head for south Brittany next.

We are heading over to Brittany next week and were wondering the same. Neufchatel en Bray a little to early for our stop over the first night but idea for return leg s one of our favs

Enjoy your holiday

We've been at La-Roche-Bernard for the past couple of nights. Plenty of availability on both the normal campsite and on the motorhome pitches.
Restaurants were busy last night, and not a lot of social distancing going on.
We're heading to Pénestin tomorrow. I've checked the Camping Carparks app. and there is currently plenty of room on the aires there.

Montville was an excellent stop over. As I said, there is plenty of overspill so there would always get somewhere to stay for the night, though it might be a bit to push for two nights

Be careful in Britany I have just been reading on MSN that the CV19 rate has started to rise again and every one will need to wear a mask anywhere indoors.

The weather's lovely. I've spent no more than 5 mins indoors today - when I went into an empty bar to buy an ice cream. All the other customers were sitting outside, enjoying the sunshine. Of course I wore a mask, which was no hardship.
We're being very careful, but are determined to enjoy our lives.

We've been in France just over a week now and the only time we've ended up close to other people was yesterday riding the funicular. Everyone had masks on. We've not had any problems turning up to aires and getting spaces. The campsite we're on now also has lots of space.

The autoroutes here were very very busy at the weekend, queues at the péages, but at the few aires we've been, there's been no trouble finding places. Some very nice places indeed. The few shops we've been in, there were short respectful queues, everyone wearing masks. I did not realise that Brittany had rising CV problems though. The weather has been brilliant, very hot but have managed to park in the shade each time.
