We have started to take our air fryer with us when we go to places we expect EHU.
Its far better and faster than a normal motorhome gas oven and can be packed away easily.

Which one have you got I keep thinking about getting one but don't want a seldom used extra thing to store

Recently got a Ninja Foodi, the Air Fryer bit is great but it's too big & heavy for the van. If we were to go to Lithium I would probably get a smaller Air Fryer not before as we rarely use EHU.

We take the smallest Ninja with us when going on EHU - fits into one of the lockers and works very well

We have a small one thats rated at 1,000 watts. Got it from B&M . (y)
Mostly used when we are on a rally and take the grandson who likes his fries and chicken poppers .
Run it from the inverter as we rarely have hook up.. Only when the weather is bad we tell him he cant have chip...

Hi
We have bought ours down to Benni. Its a ninja 9-1. You can find ideas and recipes on Facebook Group, Ninja Foodie Uk Receipies, someone has just posted a bread recipe , kebab and suet pudding. Lance uses it all the time. I just wash it up!
Regards Sue

Looks good & nice and cheap to try but I wouldn't want to put that much load on my batteries I only have 3 x 80ah Gels, now if I Lithium a different ball game.

Bought a Lakeland tiny one a few months ago - cook pretty much everything in it when on EHU. Great for two of us and saves gas.

I’ve got a small Tefal one bought in the Curry’s sale. Not thought of taking it in the van but use it at home a lot - sausages, bacon, potato wedges etc all great and cook fast. Even bought a cook book and there are some recipes I definitely want to try!

They have one they sell in store for£40 and one online only at£100 which is it?
I got this one from Aldi 2 weeks ago, still learning how to use it properly but cakes bake well in it, homemade chips not so good and will try roasting a whole chicken in it on Sunday. It looks identical to the Daewoo on Amazon

I've given up asking Janie to get one, 😉 so it's carry on popping ocross the road to 100 montaditos on Wednesday or Sunday €1 a portion for my chips. 😁 Bob

We have used a Peter James halogen oven for about 10 years. It is similar but a smaller version of the Aldi ideal for 2. Lower wattage.
Can' t get the small ones now pity cos ideal for the van cooks brill roast dinners amongst other things.

We are trying it for roast dinner tomorrow, chicken on the upper rack and roast potatoes on the lower one, Yorkshire puddings will still be done in the oven

Don't understand the logic - using two appliances
Waste of electricity surely.
Use one or the other, not both?

The logic is we are still learning with the halogen fryer, ruining the chicken is one thing but I’m not going to ruin Yorkshire puddings

It was years before I realised Yorkies were about 4” diameter, I thought they all came from a 12” x 15” roasting tin.
What wasn’t demolished with the main course was served up afterwards with Golden Syrup

Chicken was cooked perfectly, 1 hour and 20 minutes for a 1.5kg chicken, quicker than our oven.

Latest Aldi offer! Small 1.5lt air fryer 1000W £29.99 I've just ordered one for the van. Fried English breakfast without the spattering...

Sorry if this sounds a bit thick, but what is the difference between an air fryer and a compact/portable oven?
Thanks

Bought a small Tower brand air fryer when on a sale at Tesco brilliant
I have that one, excellent for making cheese toasted sandwiches too (y)
