since 2006 ( I think ! )
Today a bought a pair of small mobility scoots ( had to get two to encourage woman to use one ) to allow us places to visit
But I have been searching all day for somewhere we can visit for a couple of days that might interest Maureen and encourage her to get out of the van

Ideally it would be a place south of Selby so it is sort of on the way home to Norfolk
We live more of less in the forest so nature reserves and parks are ruled out as we get plenty of that sort of thing here at home !
Museums are good ( all sorts from transport to natural history )
Canals are sometimes good
Tourist attractions good
More or less any where with amusement arcades are good

Because of mobility issues anything that revolves around a good walk is a bit of a non starter

I am sure you get the idea :)
We like wilding but equally do not mind REASONABLY priced camp sites ( say a max of £25 a night )

Hello John

Have you thought of going to Beverly just north of Hull?

It’s a little bit of an Eastwards diversion after 3F’s but there is a nice little CL there (not stayed myself yet) which is close to the centre of the historic market town and all associated amenities!

Steve and Denise have stoped a few times and recommend it…

Just had a look as it sounds appealing but the towns web site starts off with
Beverley is a thriving traditional market town and its Market Cross still stands proudly in the centre of its bustling marketplace
Which is pretty much word for word Thetford LOL !!!!

Plenty to do around Beverly John nice river with its own submarine plenty of nice places to eat and drink, look in the White Horse never been decorated since the war still has gas lights on the wall, the Minster is free and only 5 minutes from the site much bigger than Thetford 👍

Would that be Willow Lane camp site ?

Happyford CL Louth?
https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/certificated-locations/england/lincolnshire/louth/happyford-cl/
I've not been but it has a good rep and plenty to do in Louth - it also apparently "bustles"
https://lovelincolnshirewolds.com/explore/louth

Or Woodhall Spa?
Lots of history - Dambusters, Battle of Britain
Think Debs has stayed there or the Flora group
First one is out as "To book a Certificated Location you'll need to be a Club member" :(

Louth is a lovely town (y) but been there a good few times
Damned good call though !

Not so sure about Woodhall Spa as once you have done the town it does not leave much :-)

Jaws there's a FB group called pitch & park not sure if you might find something on there?

National Trust? Usually good parking and access. Free if you’re a member

That sounds brilliant and it is a shame I did not see the post earlier
but........

We are SORTED !!
Found a place that is reasonably priced ( £26 p.n. ) with hook up AND has a pleasure beach nearby and a light railway somewhere or other :)
I have only booked two nights but suspect if the option is there that could well be extended
As a bonus, we have never ever been there either !

Glad you're sorted Jaws but if you are in the area again the museum above is well worth a visit. There's a cl next door.

You should visit when next at Jim's. They have bike days as well. Look up Lincs Aviation Heritage for full list of happenings
