Hi
We have recently swapped from a coach built to a Rollerteam Pegaso 590. We bought an A class external screen cover in great condition from a lovely guy on here but unfortunately it doesn’t fit as our windscreen is is bigger height wise. (Will fit a Carthago though if anyone is interested PM me)..
So questions:

Would you recommend using one?

if so can you get cover on without using steps?

Can anyone recommend where we can get one from?

Thanks!

They make a big difference in cold weather -not only heat retention but also reduce condensation. I'm 5 ' 10" and can fit them without a stool but a bit of a stretch.
Ours are by Silverscreens I think -came with the van.

Polar screens by Minster products. At Holbrook. They do a custom service, drive in they make templates, make cover you drive out. (y)

I have a external silver screen for a A class left hand door and sliding drivers side..
Very good condition £ Bargain £ 50

Can you not make it smaller? its only cutting and stitching.

Would have been a good idea to cut and restitch but it is too small. Thanks for offer Mike but our new van is a right hand opening door and sliding passenger side.

Have a word with Minster products they may be able to add a bit to yours.

Ours came with the van, but I think they’re from Taylormade. We really only use them between Nov-March when. It’s very cold but they help with condensation and insulation.
Ours is a Pilote A class and I find it much easier to reach the whole screen as the bonnet doesn’t get in the way. I’m 6’2” but could never reach the top centre of the old fiat Ducati screen, I can now.

I don’t bother with silver screens on my A Class, I like to open the blinds and see out. If there is any condensation I clear it with a Karcher window vac, very effective. We have a heated dash and if we leave the heating on in frosty weather there is rarely much condensation. I might consider screens if my winter outings included alpine ski resorts.

Always had a Paragon Silverscreens they are very good, keep the heat in or out and as with others you can have privacy screen as well also stops condensation.
If using van in the Uk a lot especially when frosts are about well worth the money(y)(y)(y)

We have always had external screens.
They work either way summer & winter but we have a privacy panel so we remove the mains windscreen panel which allows us to see out &light to come in but peepers can’t see in!
External screens create less condensation than internal ones.

One of my reasons for buying an A Class was the panoramic view through the large front screen. For the last 2 weeks I have been enjoying fabulous views of the Scottish Borders and anything that had restricted the view would have annoyed me enourmously. Despite the frosts we haven’t had significant issues with condensation.

I wondered the same thing, but find the Silverscreen that came with our A class very easy to fit. Well worth getting a set as they keep the van warm in the winter, cooler in the summer and cut down on condensation! They dry very quickly too.

Thanks for all the advice, much appreciated. We are going to order one from minster I think as they have the size we need off the shelf according to another Pegaso owner I have found on a Rollerteam Facebook page.

Will get busy putting the other one we had already bought back up on classifieds when we get back from this trip!
