I have put deposit on a new adria twin. Only two 3 pin sockets, we can add more. We think one next to the kitchen one and one next to the tv socket , but I would like one near the sliding door is this possible. Thanks in advance for any help. Danny

Yes it's possible but whether you do it or get the dealer to do it is the question as the dealer will charge you a fair bit of dosh to do it. Why not see how you get on with the existing ones first (you can always use an extension lead if needs be.

How many 12v sockets have you got as we find that they are what we 'miss' usually - we don't use sites so rely on our batteries so mains sockets isn't a issue for us.

PS: We're in Cottingham.

As Mel says dealer will charge an arm & a leg but if you are confident it is an easy DIY job the hard bit is routing the cables.
Like Mel it's lack of 12v sockets is more of a problem Our van had 5 mains sockets & 1x 12v it's now got 4 mains sockets. 3 x 12v & 3 x double USB sockets. Only ever use one of the mains sockets.

Thanks very much for your reply’s, I will wait to see how many 12v sockets then make my mind. I asked the electrician who works for me and he said it should be quite simple. Once again thanks for your time .Danny

If he normally works on domestic electrics, make sure he's aware that you shouldn't use standard twin-and-earth solid core cable in vehicles, but need to use flexible stranded cable, due to the high-vibration environment.
