Is that the boot and does it not just pop off? I am sure I have manage it inadvertently.

Been to check. Mine has clips at the top which you can see if you look from the sides. Squeeze both sides gently and it slips down about half an inch then it pulls out. Not sure how to replace broken part thereafter.

I have looked and no clips to be seen on the sides. It has a small lug on the base but no mater what I do it does not move. By squeezing the lamp shade part it will move down about 1/4" but will not come off.

Mine moved down that bit then a waggle had it off. I have a Matrix so it is slightly different but would assume same connectors.
Have a wiggle (or a waggle) and if it does not work then I will film the process and load it tomorrow morning and let you compare.

still could not get it apart. I have put the van back into storage now but would still like suggestions to get it apart.

Got dragged into other stuff today so will do something over the weekend. I pick up the replies to this so nudge me if nothing by 1200hr Sunday :)

they are an absolute pig to open. we have a Coral and those lights are the only thing about the whole van i dislike.

they open by sliding the bottom section down a short way ......( if you can) then lift off, (if you are lucky).

sorry to be negative but they are not easy to open. you will need a lot of patience and perseverance.. :banghead:

Thanks Phill D
I am very able when it comes to this sort of thing but it has me beat. there is a small lug on the bottom of the light
I thought this may be something to do with the opening of the light.

I just don't want to break it.

im with you on and very able on the skills side but it tests me every time...

i think the lug on the bottom locates in the base as you slide it up to close. the problem appears to be when / if you can slide it down to release the lug at the bottom you dont seem to be able to get it of the 2 side lugs...

Thanks for the thought Rosalind will leave it till we start using the van again. It's in a lockup off the road till warmer weather returns.

I would put a hair drier on it to warm it first less chance of breaking it.

I’ll be honest I’ve tried getting in to the light in the garage and they are NOT coming off:xangry:

Removed mine the other week. Pull down as hard as you can, like you are trying rip it off the wall.

In fact I did rip mine off the wall and replaced it with an LED light with pir.It switches on when I open the door.
Had to get a step down off ebay to take the 12v down to 3.
No doubt there are 12v equivalents
