moved in 3 weeks ago, gates arrived weekend. Funny really as the first job was securing the van even before new windows and doors fitted ;)

Thought I’d share them. I sacrifice my side garden but another garden out back to sit and enjoy.

I’ve a thatcham steering lock, 2 x Goodyear wheel clamps. I’ve a guy coming to pop up 4 security cameras. In my view, I’ve made it awkward as a target for a thief.

I no have my drive and garage (behind) accessible more easily. This set up works for me.

Looks a bit close to that drain cover !! (Remembering some recent posts on here). Better check it’s weight rating.:)

It’s a concrete cover as opposed to metal as someone recently had misfortune with

Builder did a bit of a check and we’ve re examined pipes route etc

Pretty solid as older version drainage covers

I’ll also take care to keep away, it’s first time reversing in so I could go further back next time

Looks good (y)

I had my last van behind inward opening gates and had all 3 bolts padlocked. Once the locks were in place, I would drive the van up to the bolts, preventing any unauthorised access to the 2 lower ones.

Now you need either Eddie Vanbitz Growler or an Out Smart The Thief Lockdown system fitting then no-one will be able to move it

Thanks Kingham, just seems logical and great use of space as would like away from the street etc

Mine due to space had to be outward swinging, bit of a shame. I intend to put electric motors on the gates at a later point, good lighting for putting the van away in the dark/ wet etc.

I’ve a whole house to renovate so steady as it goes and balancing priorities I guess.

It does feel safer than on the drive for all to spot, ie when I’m home or away etc
