New boy
just had a Vicarious e-mail informing me that they are on their way.

Had mine delivered today from ACSI them self and my card was delivered last week.

Postman rang the bell with mine direct from ACSI at lunchtime. Think it's the earliest I've received it.

Postman managed to get my books through the letterbox this morning. Delivered direct from ACSI and much earlier than last year.

Which is the cheapest option Please.
1.ACSI Direct (book and card)
2. Via CMC
Knowing up front will save me being dissapointed when I find out the CMC havent done me any favours.

ACSI €13.95 plus p&p which last year was €2 but I I don't know yet what it is this year. £13.99 from C&CC incl of P&P so I assume CMC the same.
I have tried to cancel my recurring payment from a credit card to ACSI but seem to have failed as I had an email about 10 days ago saying I will be getting my new books by the end of December. Fortunately I hadn't got around to doing the order to C&CC. I will give it until the end of the month to see what does or doesn't arrive.

Direct from ACSI is the cheapest - but it appears to be a bit of a hassle if you need to change your details or want to cancel. All okay this and last year but 2 years ago I changed my credit card. Tried to update the details on the ACSI site, thought I had succeeded though no confirmation. Result, no ACSI books or card and had to purchase in Spain.

In fairness there's only a pound or two in it.

Mine arrived this morning.

C&CC, as mentioned, are doing it for £13.95 delivered.

Only cheap direct from ACSI if you sign up to a recurring payment, which as others have said, can be difficult to cancel.

Not sure of the price from C&MC. But surprised if as cheap or less than C&CC.

Just received ours, no warning just arrived.

Quite glad as we lost the card in Spain somewhere? It appears that the only way to get a replacement is to buy another one

So this time we have taken photos and tried to make a spare. Colours are a bit off but worth a go, will try using the spare, keeping the original safely in the van;).

Might even try using the photo version initially.

Mine arrived yesterday. i can stop holding my breath now as we go away on 27th to Europe and will need it and i was hoping it would come in time

Mine has arrived from ACSI so clearly I have failed to cancel it. It's odd as the card they are going to try to take payment from has expired. I've tried logging into myaccount and can't update it. The email with the link from October where you can make address changes etc which I tried to use to cancel my subscription is no longer active. I don't want to be dishonest for the sake of a couple of euros each year so presumably I will get another email later this month requesting payment and my only option will be a recurring payment.
I presume there are different departments doing different bits, it's so much cheaper than Vicarious books so I think I can cope!

I'm supposed to have that annual combi subscription but mine has yet to arrive :xsad:.

Ours arrived Thursday, totally unusable.
Looks like the package had been underwater, repacked in plastic bag, saying "damaged before arrival in UK"
Contacted ACSI. Said they were aware of the problem with a number of books ans will send a replacement.

Ordered my ACSI from C&CC late Wednesday afternoon for £13.99 including postage. It arrived Saturday morning. (y)(y)(y)
Ours also arrived yesterday, having ordered it from the C&CC some weeks ago for £13.99 incl delivery.

Unfortunately, but perhaps not surprisingly, all of our favourite haunts have increased in price by €1 euro to either €18 or €20. And of course - at the same time - the exchange rate has deteriorated, and may still worsen... But hey, on the whole, I guess it's still pretty good value. :)

Have I done something wrong. Daughter offered to buy my 2019 ACSI book as part of my Christmas present. I told her Vicarious books sell it, just looked at their site and it's £17.50 - it is for part 1 & 2. Is this the same books as the C&CC for £13.99. Will be wiser next year.

Afraid so.

Mine was also wrapped in a poly bag with the same info, not quite as bad as yours though.

Get in touch with them, they know there has been a problem.
The cardboard packing was still dripping wet, the moisture kept in side the plastic bag had soaked through both the books, which just fell apart when trying to open books.

Before I go out and buy one has as in other years anyone double ordered and is selling one. Going to buy one anyway but thought I'd try here first

C&MC £13.99 £11.44 & £2.55 postage ordered today

I just read this topic.
Our ACSI books turned up in last few days. As reported above, ours were rewrapped in a Royal mail plastic bag as “damaged before arrival in uk” and heavily water-damaged. Still very damp on opening. They’ve been sitting on a radiator, but one book especially is pretty well unusable.

On the positive side, I rang ACSI, and they immediately said they would send me another set. They were evidently well aware of the problem, so there must have been a lot of book sets affected. I wonder what happened........

Still no sign of ours.... If they do not arrive tomorrow a fone call will be made

Bought both books, last year. The £13.99 you all mention is maybe for only the UK, France and Spain one. ie one book only. And will I have to buy the phone app again or will that continue to run. TIA

You can’t buy just one book. It comes as a set of two. That’s just the way it works.

Mine was also delivered in a plastic bag wet and ACSI are sending me a replacement. I wonder if this means I will have a spare card to give to my friend as the card is undamaged, I have never known any site take the membership number off the card.

Phoned CCC Club yesterday to ask when I should receive the books.
They told me that 3000 just arrived last Friday....and they are working through.
So any day now!!
:xgrin:
