Like most I get tired and frustrated by all that goes on regarding EU travel but here’s the latest titbit.

Which is really good news, however I think there was a caveat in the announcement that the UK must offer reciprocal terms to EU citizens visiting the UK.

Sad when its good news we don't need a visa to go to France.

This seems to mean that we are ok as long as we don't cross the Channel.

However, after ETIAS comes into effect in 2012, British citizens visiting Europe will have to apply online for an ETIAS visa waiver before departing. The ETIAS visa waiver will be valid for 3 year periods and will allow unlimited entries into the region.
Remember, ETIAS and Brexit are coincidental: ETIAS is not a consequence of Brexit. ETIAS is being introduced to improve the security of the region and the safety of its citizens.

I think you mean 2021!

The 90/180 day rule still applies with ETIAS though unfortunately.
