Anyone near the A75 ?
between Millau and Clement-Ferrand
Google maps is showing lots of road closures.........heading that way now ?
Wonder if it’s worth going a different way.

It doesn't look good. If you click on them they have all been reported in the last hour so probably true.

You might be able to go around them but everyone else will be trying the same so it could be slow.

Can you stay where you are for a day?

they were doing a lot of road resurfacing in that area 3 weeks ago but they were switching cars onto the other side of road

Thanks for that info can’t get full info on my phone
Can’t really stay as we have to be in Calais Tuesday returning early due to a funeral to attend.
We are heading towards Narbonne so could divert and go Toulouse way.

What site are you all looking at? We’re heading down via Limoges but could do with checking our route too.

Looking now it shows the A75 closed both ways just South of Clermont-Ferrand.

Is there a link for these up to date traffic reports or is it part of a paid navigation system ?
Sounds really useful.Thanks

Thanks for that info.
Took a gamble and have come this way.
Pea souper round the Millau bridge and 1 lane closed but other than that it’s been ok.
We’re thinking of pulling in before the road closure and leaving early tomorrow

Some of the closures I saw earlier seem to have gone but new ones have emerged and lots of roadworks with slow traffic.

It looks like the closure is a planned one as roadworks are shown to the North along with long term slip road closures. The A75 is a popular lorry route so they may have it closed for the whole weekend.

Yes lots have disappeared
Millau was completely clear in fact haven’t come across anything at all yet.
We’re just coming to Saint -Flour

Personally, I would treat Google Traffic at best, as a very rough guide, it is by no means accurate.

Often shows traffic where I live when in fact there is none.. a small village with no traffic issues at all.

Recently showed the A14 as closed when it had been open for several hours after an accident.

Most of these 'live' traffic guides are out of date almost immediately, including those built into satnavs, I disconected the system in my Garmin Camper because of this.

Just drove this route about an hour ago, the A75 is closed for around 2 miles and you’re diverted alongside it. The traffic flowed and lucky if it added 10mins although it is Sunday so quieter

This is the section around Clermont-Ferrand I’m talking about

When we drove up the A75 three weeks ago we were diverted off and re-joined just south of the peage. Being a Sunday there was not much traffic and the delay was minimal. I think the diversion is in place each weekend to help with the roadworks on the south side of C-F.

I agree with you as there’s no way that could be finished and open tomorrow.
Glad we pushed on and got though it today.

Got through easy glad we pushed on today thou and not when it is busier tomorrow.
Now all we have to do is find a Aire for the night.
Thanks for the info everyone ?
