Is there good transportation into the centre from here?
Not sure about. A Sunday but was fine mid week, think you may have found out by now though
.

Overnighted at the Poltimore Arms on Exmoor in Devon. Has a camping field behind the pub, but as it was a quiet Monday night and the field was still a bit soft in places, the landlord suggested we park up out the front. Free as long as you have a pint or two. Doesn't serve food. Cash only.

Unique pub, completely off-grid; no mains electricity or water. Lighting by candles, heat from open fire. The landlord, Stephen Cotten is a proper old-school eccentric. A bizarre mix of extremely hospitable and welcoming, but with an acerbic wit and a grand line in put-downs and insults. Endless tall stories, all verified as absolutely true by the locals.

Nine people in there last night, all sat around the fire chatting noisily. Fascinating mix of people. By the end of the evening we were being told to pull our own pints and put the money in the cash box ourselves!

He offered to leave the back door open so we could use the toilet and kitchen at night if we wanted.

Don't go if you're easily offended, otherwise an absolutely unique pub experience.

If you Google him and the pub you'll find lots more info about this madcap place. Here's one for starters -

After seeing a few of your pictures recently May I ask why you have all the lights on the front, do you do a lot of night driving…
Better view at dogging sites

Always had a bit of a thing for lights and chrome, can you ever have enough? And I couldn’t not get the 4 on the bull bar being that they where so cheap on marketplace and chrome.
Think I’m reliving my youth, recently installed CB radio, had that in the 80s. Just looking for some of those name banners for the windscreen and some fluffy dice for the mirror lol.

None, Barrie. It's just a parking, but there's a sign from the municipality that allows motorhomes and forbides camping, but we have Dutch neighbours that have chairs out, they may not understand Spanish pictograms:unsure:
I would suggest that they don't understand life.
