A great little company to deal with!

I have ordered a code reader from a company called Gendan Automotive Products based in Swansea. I was able to speak with a real human who knew his products and actually checked what I needed was on their shelf. Having double checked I was ordering the correct model they quoted me a good price and promised dispatch the same day. I have now received confirmation with the following e-mail -

Your product has been gently taken from our shelves with soft cotton gloves and placed on a cushion for its journey to the packing area. A team of 4 packers thoroughly inspected your item and polished it to ensure it is in the best possible condition before beginning the packing process. Our packing specialist from Sweden lit a scented candle and demanded silence from everyone in the office. A perfect ambiance is required to allow him to achieve packaging perfection. Once completed, we all had a wonderful celebration and the team marched to the delivery company, waving and spreading good cheer as we journeyed through Swansea. Everyone applauded, shouted Bon Voyage! and hugged one another as the van left. Your parcel is being cared for by Royal Mail Tracked 24. It should be with you in 1-2 working days. The tracking number of the item is VB256794911GB You can track the item at http://www.royalmail.com I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at Gendan Limited. We sure did. Your picture is on our wall and we have nominated you for our Customer of the Year title. only problem with that is its royal mail they will leave you an invite to que for an hour at the sorting office to be told your parcel isnt here well thats the way they work round here

how does a thread with just one post about a company get railroaded into a thread about poor service by another..

How many times have you seen reviews / quaestions answered on sales websites....

Question;
.. is this particular product from a specific company any good will it do X Y Z?..

to get the answer:-

i didnt buy from them so i have no idea; but a different product i got from the other company was crap..

i have dealt with gendan for many years, as i was heavily involved in the modified vw world ,and their vcds is second to none

My point in posting this thread was to high light a company that goes the extra mile and pass on their humorous e-mail. I doubt that anyone on Fun has not had a poor delivery service, myself included, but this is normally outside the control of smaller companies. Regarding comments on Royal mail, I fully except that some areas get better services than others, I am fortunate as my posties all know us and will always leave parcels in a box provided. There are many justifiable tales of woe on this site that highlight bad products and dealers, I thought it would make a nice change to tell a tale that shows that there are some great companies out there.

it is but gendan was the only place you could buy it over here, back when it was vagcom, so you had to deal with them and they never tried to rip you off knowing you couldnt go anywhere else

Neil, Packaged arrived today within the 1 hour slot they stated. Royal Mail have always been excellent but happy to cut them some slack this close to xmas,

Always bought scanners from Gendan, a good range, and good prices.

The best scanner in the world won't help if you cant interpret the info it gives. And you can't buy that.
