Hi All, just a heads up to anyone with a more ‘mature’ motorhome.
We have a 20 year old (x reg) Hymer B640 and had what we thought was a slow leak in a rear tyre on a long trip to Scotland.
However, on checking the tyre it a actually turned out to be the wheel itself.
The inner rim had rusted through around the valve.
Luckily the spare wheel was good, so a friendly garage swapped the tyre over and got us on our way.
Given these are all the original wheels and have been through the same experiences - five new wheels on their way!
