Any recommendations on insurance companies that will cover a dvla registered motorhome self build, based a 7. 5t lorry?

Please and thanks

My 7.5T self build is insured with Adrian Flux, about £400/year. Don't know if they are any good, never had a claim.

Not for a 7.5 tonner, but I have had to claim when I had a policy through Adrian Flux, they were a right bunch of cretins, and I would not piss on them if they were on fire.

Grove and Dean brokers have always helped me with unusual vehicles and requests.

Stop beating around the bush.
Tell us what you REALLY think (y)

Depending on your postcode NFU may be a possible .

Thanks for all replies. Got a fairly decent quote from Adrian flux. They didnt quibble my situation at all and i was very transparent ?

Mango, does this mean you are ready for a road trip?

Every time i spoke to insurance people, tjey asked if i was a member of a motorhome club. I said I was a member of this site and they recognised that. Does it make much difference on insurance prices?

Size doesn't matter apparently ?.

Yes i do, but ive got plans for a roof hatch in the cab and maybe some sort of roof decking with a hatch into the hab..

Maybe...

Why do you ask?

Only ask because I use my cab as storage if I'm staying in one place for a while, silver screens are in the bag and washing bag are on the passenger seat/footwell ATM, vacuum cleaner is in there also, wouldn't fancy going in and out to get to stuff. Are you full timing?

So you've got yours connected? Any pictures?

Well I'm going to have to be doing that regardless. Will have a container set up next to the parking spot. Use as garage/gym.

In May we will be full time..... Just need to get it finished first or we will be homeless ?
