4GEE. EE Mifi

Has anybody managed to use the EE min mifi with a different company I find it works very well on EE but their payg is way over the top compared to 3 or smarty well more or less any other provider. As I understand the terms and conditions after 3 months you can apply to have it unlocked and are free to use other companies am I right.

I bought an old Huawei Mifi (big plug straight into cig socket). Had to pay £8 to EE on phone to unlock it for other networks.

I got in touch with EE who gave me details on how to unlock it. It now works perfectly with a Smarty sim by 3

I take them to the local market and a chap unlocks while you watch for £5 then you can use any company's sim card
