I've got quite a few boxes of 35mm slides I'd like to sort through and scan into my computer and I'd like to get a scanner that will do the job simply and be compatible with a Mac. I'm not that technical and I'm not sure of the quality of the slides so I don't need a high end scanner as it will also be a one off exercise. if anyone has one they'd like to sell or can recommend one I'd be grateful.
Thank you

nigglynelly be prepared for a very long and time consuming job, unless scanner technology has progressed in the last 5 years.

When I did mine it worked out easier and cheaper to send them off for conversion, did all my slides and negatives in one go,

I have an ion PICS2SD. It scans onto an SD card. Good results but not fast.

Thanks. I Have considered sending them off but I do need to sort through them as most of them were taken by my Dad and I probably only want to keep a few from each box. If I resort to that option which company did you use?

I used an independent photography shop who no longer exist, I’d advise sending a small number and making sure your happy with the results before doing loads.

If you wait 24 hours I can ask someone who. May be able to help

Why don't you look for a slide viewer then just send off the ones you did want scanning. We had some videos digitised at max spielmann
