I think there are a few funsters who do 3D printing, and having been looking for a couple of items for my A class, I wonder if I could suggest some possible items that might sell.
I've been trying to get mirror protectors for the coach style mirrors I have, without success. Pics attached
Also I wanted a side window wind deflector, only one as it's A Class, but was prepared to buy the usual pair if I could find one for the squarish window on my passenger side door. They don't seem to be available either. 20241002_103130.webp20250224_161912.webp

Typical home 3D printer sizes are max 250mm in any direction and generally much smaller as the printing time would be measured in days rather than hours approaching that size. I have recently designed a free standing mount for a victron Orion 50A B2B if you some thing to start with. There is also a 3D section on the forum but as I'm currently on the 🤳 you'll find it quicker than I will!

Yes size and print time will be the biggest issues.

Plus it is a given that as the printer gets towards the end of a long and complex print it will make a bird's nest and ruin the print.

I'll try to find it but, there was a company given a small feature on wheeler dealers. He printed out a small thing for a car they were working on, I think it was a corrado sunroof piece and the guy had a huge machine. I got the impression people could commission him to make stuff and he had the machinery that could do it quickly and cost effectively. In England somewhere, possibly midlands.

No idea if these are the same people as on WD show but, they may provide what's needed. 3dpeople.uk and 3dprintbueau.co.uk
I've no knoweledge of either of them.

There are a lot of 3D printer companies who will do 1 off prints. Where I occasionally work they recently used 3Dprint-uk.co.uk who have a cost estimator on their website.
