2x 6kg calor bottles

Hi there,

We've not ad out motorhome long and planning a trip, is 2x 6kg Calor bottles likely to suffice for 18-20 nights in France/Spain in the summer months, mostly on EHU so main use will be cooking/hot water.. 2 adults, 2 kids.

Won't your hot water be mostly on electric too?

We did 6 months across Europe. Only 2 of us, but we rarely used EHU. We were full when we arrived and filled up our 16 litre tank twice. So we used about 5kg per month.

but in any case.. yes, 2x6kg is plenty

EHU on sites on the the continent is lower power. Often as low as 6A.

Last year we were over for six weeks and used the same bottle.

still enough for heating hot water if you switch other loads off ... uses circa 4amps

I believe the hot water / central heating only works on the gas.
