Anybody interested?

The 790L is a limited edition for concorde 30 years co-operation with IVECO, its 8 metres but most of the saving is in the lounge area and I am sure you can't have a bar version, in fact if its anything like the Edition 35 you take it as it comes.

I like the dashboard in the Centurion.

That's a great idea... very nice! Are you tempted Martin?

As for us.... I think we'll have to stay well away from showrooms now! :D

Planning on going to Dusseldorf anyway so would be rude not to have a look:whistle:;) we won't like the smaller lounge in the 790L but I like the style of the Centurion, might not like the price though.

Very tasty - shame no island bed though.
I am sure you can have island bed in the Charisma just not the 790L model as it is a limited edition "take it or leave it" I would guess there would be an island bed option in the Daily Centurion but can't see many details yet.

330000 and 350000 euros
Wow, wait 14 years and they will be about 30 grand same as we paid for our Iveco Concorde:D2 albeit a little smaller.

Nah in 14 years your will still be worth £30k but that Centurion will still be a lot of money if anybody is allowed to drive over 7500kg diesels.

You can have a look around in 2 days but if you want to get into serious nitty gritty you will need longer.

Martin

Yes was planning on two days, just don't want to rush it. (y)
If you join the Caravan salon you get a deal on two days, if you get excited you could try blagging another day ticket off a dealer?

Now there's a thought.(y)
The problem the last couple of years is that they have started a booking system, previously you turned up and paid each morning and stayed as long as you liked, but when you book X number of night I don’t know if you can extend your stay.

Martin

Yes that's a good plan I know someone who does exactly the same most years, only about an hour on the plane
We go with friends sometimes and it makes a nice get together for a week or so and then we can go off and do our own thing for a couple of weeks.

Martin

Not taking the van..gonna fly and get hotel for a night or two.
Walking around the stellplatz seeing the even wider selection of mh's out there is an attraction in itself IMO. Not to mention the beer, sausages and oompah.

If you are at the stage to sit down and talk specs - you can easily lose half a day trying to work it out, the choices for a new liner are staggering and there are quite a few manufacturers at the upper end - Phoenix, Morelo, Concorde, N&B etc and then you can get into the seriously expensive stuff as well with Vario, STX, Volkner etc. bank on at least 2 full days for a proper look.

£320,000 depreciation in 14 years!

I think you have your calculations wrong Paul. Unless the bottom falls completely out of the market that's never going to happen.

Yours, when new, wouldn't have cost anything like the vehicles under discussion.

Yes I know, it was partly tongue in cheek hence the smiley I put in, however my Concerto when new cost just over 80 grand in March 2005. All Concordes were cheaper then even the Charisma and Liners from 2005 wouldn't have cost anything like todays prices and they were far better quality than todays offerings in my opinion, but that's another thread.

Our Flair has lost 50% in close to 14 years but that is partly to do with £ vs €, Concorde hold their value equally as well so expect to pay €180,000 or more in 14years.

I am too old to wait that long though.

I like the Centurion a lot but can't help wondering what payload you'd get. They've obviously had to compromise on something to get it down to 7.5 tonne.

I would think it would be OK as its on the Daily chassis not a truck as long as they don't make them too big.

The front looks good for sure so that is a start.

Martin

Actually they are possibly only doing the one model 860Li so at a guess it will be 8.7 metres.

Far too long for you Martin I thought you want to get within 8 metres but still have the huge garage.
