2012 Ducato fuel gauge not reading correctly

We have a 2012 N+B Arto 3.0l (so A class) on a ducato base.

I just filled up the tank with fuel but the fuel gauge only goes to halfway.

I know the tank is definitely full because of the amount I put in - and because I accidentally overfilled it and the little spewed out of the top.

The fuel gauge started reading about one third full and then very, very slowly crept up to halfway (took several minutes).

My guess is that it is probably the sender unit in the tank which is sticking/stuck. Does that sound right?

If so, how easy is it to replace? Where would I find the tank?

If your instrument cluster is the standard Fiat item, it’s also a known issue for the needles to become sticky too.

Same problem. No issue with cluster sent off to have checked. Did you manage to sort the fault ?

Mine spontaneously sorted itself after a couple of fills. Sorry not to be more helpful. I’d be interested to hear what happens with yours as I suspect mine will go in the blink again at some point.

It's a weird one unfortunately. I will find out what it is just got to throw money at it unfortunately. Been like it for about 12 months now. Was intermittent at first but now totally caput
