Swift Ace Genova 2005. 3 years
Hi everyone, Hope your all safe and well

Could anyone please advise on how to install seat belts to the rear part of our Swift Ace Genova motorhome?

Is it at all possible due to the wall construction.

We are planning to tour Scotland soon, we have 2 fairly large dogs and would like to ensure that they are safe whilst travelling

Thanks in anticipation

3 point Seat belts should be on a big frame ( you can buy them on ebay and such like for about £500) which is bolted through the floor and chassis, not fittings attached to walls.
Just for dogs you could fit anchor points in the floor, bolted to the chassis
Depends how you want to restrain them and your diy skills 👍

Depending on your van layout the rear of the vehicle may be sacrificial in a crash, ie no chassis just wood floor as the overhang which means you cant fit belts in the back

Thanks for the response busbuddy. Its based on a Fiat chassis so I can more than likely just fix anchor points as you suggest through floor and chassis, sealing as I go. Fairly easy as there are bolts holding the body to the chassis at various points. Have to be careful there's nothing important under where I drill. Fingers crossed
