have continuity between earth and live on wiring on habitation side, has my control board gone bad

Ok ... but that might show a "continuity" because there is, somewhere, some sort of circuit between the two (which may be normal). It doesn't mean they are shorted. What do you get as a voltage reading if you measure between earth and the live feed?

Hi, thanks for taking time to help, I’ve not tried that, I have however taken control board for repair and two diodes were shorted out, so they have been ordered in and when board is returned I will then know if I still have a problem
