1st ride

Probably blue...although I prefer the light blue of yours from 2024. Yes, another DCT, gelled with mine about 10 minutes into the test ride back in 2017....loved it ever since...and somehow, DCT and 94 hp has been more than a match for my mates with 125/135hp....
Hebden Bridge, lovely town, I worked there for 8 years in 90s/00s and live just over the hill for 30 yrs....great part of the world.

Took the new 2025 DCT out today, overall a nice ride. Low speed fuelling seemed dire...in either D or the 3 sport modes. Screen on high caused terrible buffeting...the worse I have ever experienced in 40 yrs of riding.....on low to mid it is fine.....although I'll get hit with any rain.
Cutting a long story short....I collect a 24 model on Thursday. Much prefer the light blue to any of the new colours (apparently, I'm the only one to not like the new colours and the bike I'm getting was traded in after 6 mths by the first owner to pick up a '25 DCT)
Looking forward to it...although I'll miss my Africa Twin, 7.5 yrs and nothing at all has gone wrong, it has been superb.

I was out on mine again yesterday.
When you press D do you immediately press D again to get S1 or again S11? Could have a bearing on the fueling.
How tall are you?
I'm a short arse so i have found the NT1100 equally as good as the Wing for wind protection and virtually no buffetings'.
I'm lovin mine.

I had it on D and all 3 S settings (I'm pretty well versed in DCTs) I'm 6ft. (Riding my AT back home was like putting on a pair of old slippers...spot on fuelling)
I've had an MRA screen and mini 'wing' on my Africa Twin for 7 yrs....put the original screen back on at the weekend and they are night and day different....reckon I'll end up with an MRA screen on the NT which is fine....likely also lower the passenger pegs by 50-60mm if my AT kit works..otherwise I'll fine somewhere who make them (my wife says it makes a huge difference to her comfort and we do most riding together)

My Tracer MT09 was the first bike I had with rider modes. C stood for calm, B was brisk and A stood for ambulance:oops:

Ive tried every mode on my BMW 1200 GsA and to be honest couldnt feel any difference in any of them .
Put it this way, if its raining or wet or icy my brain thinks " hang on , take it steady , its ( wet, cold, icy) "

My other half has not been on this bike yet but i'm pretty sure she will like it.

Was going to go to Hebden Bridge today buy decided on Matlock Bath instead..............F&Cs here i come.
It;s a great run for me from mostly country lanes and a bit of main road.

Going to test ride honda hornet 1000 next week
Strange i know but i have never, or cannot remember the last time i test rode a new bike. I have bought scores and scores of them.
I go into the showroom, look, sit on, like, buy, no like, no buy.
I of course would have done my research before i got to the dealership.

Last bike I test rode was a Street Triple. I ended up buying a BMW XR instead. Not that the Street triple was bad.
