Hi peoples thoughts 12volt only fridges good or bad

all good, if you have the power.

More efficient
Cool better
Can be noisier (make sure where the capillary enters the evaporator is padded)
No LPG consumption

All you need is solar and good batteries.

We have one issue with ours. Like your domestic fridge (which is of course a compressor fridge) there is a drain trough & hole at the back. This isnt blocked as far as I can ascertain (wire tie down the hole as I do at home) but we get water running off the floor of the fridge. Not huge amounts, but is a bit irritating. I havent yet worked out what causes it. There is a night time setting which we used to use & I thought it was that (i.e. the fridge not cooling as much overnight) but leaving it on "normal" overnight has made no difference.
