Converted caravanner!
Thinking of using one of these in place of a Calor 6kg bottle. What’s peoples experience of getting exchanges across the country? We think these will squeeze into our Malibu PVC gas locker.

I know a lot of people switched to Flogas when Calor ignored the exchange market over lockdown.
My local depot are super friendly and obviously always have stock being a depot.

We use Flogas at home for cooking and have done for the whole 24 years we have been here after the initial aclor bottle installed by the builder. We had used Flogas or CPS for years before at out static caravan. The site would not let the delivery vehicles in though until the owners committee gave notice that we were sending details of their refusal to the Competition and Markets Commission. Before that we used to meet than out in the road and barrow them in. Always been very easy to deal with.

In the van we have refillables.

Go-Outdoors carry Flogas now, seems to work fine
You can exchange any size cylinder for any other, within the same group. I.e. propane for propane etc.

Our gas locker is fairly snug but Malibu do say it’s big enough for 11kg bottles, but concerned about having enough space to get a spanner on to tighten it up. Was this an issue for you?
Our coach built has the capacity to carry 2 x 11Kg if needed - but we carry a 6 1/2 smaller calor as back up and just use the 11kg Flogas - we have found them easy to source

Flogas will also deliver. It used to be free, but they charge now. Worth it if you would otherwise have to make a special trip to swap the bottles.

I swap two at a time. The charge is per delivery, not per bottle.

Our local B&Q store is a FloGas stockist in Skegness, I don't know if they all are.
