I have taken my time to cool down before writing this review. Our first and biggest mistake was in buying an Auto trail the one we bought was an absolute lemon, anyhow back to the dealer review.
As it should be sales staff very attentive and knowledgeable the reason for four stars is for trying to sell remapping which would have invalidated the fiat warranty.
Hand over I gave 2 stars I think thats generous they had the vehicle for three weeks before we picked it up and still over half the snag faults had not been done, they then couldn't understand why I got angry with having to hang around for 5 hours while they fixed the faults.
I have given 3 stars on the basis that who you managed to talk to seemed to make a difference to the outcome but many things that had been pointed out to them was not done on the PDI .
after sales, again as above who you managed to talk to seem to make a difference to the kind of service you got, they seemed to be completely unable to understand why I should be so angry about a vehicle that spent more time in the dealers than on the road.
To sum up I am loath to slam into the dealers as although I believe they could have dealt with this better they did try to a certain extent and I believe the bigger problem is with the Auto trail company and their poor build quality and if I could I would give Elite 5 stars for giving a full refund without any fuss when I finally gave up on the van.
After traipsing around for miles to visit various places, Elite came up on our radar with new stock of the M/H we were looking for, a Chausson 515 (French spec, rare with UK driving position).
We felt under no pressure at all, and found the Sales staff (Ross in particular) extremely knowledgable and very helpful. Our handover went very well, and the minor faults we discovered in the following weeks were very quickly and expertly put right by their workshop staff.
We got a fair discount on the M/H and some added high value extras that were certainly not on the list. Our first hab check went well, and we really can't fault them in any way. Overall, an excellent experience
