DittoWe love Roses
Camping Rodas is our favourite site, there’s a nice aire literally across the road and Camping Salata about 100mtrs up towards the beach. Been on Salata and in the bar/restaurant but never stayed there
There’s another site nearer towards the town centre, Jonquera or something like that which we rode around on our bikes but not for us, looking like lots of untidy long termers making it look a bit untidy.
Roses itself though we like![]()

Check opening times but the aire is 365

I know the weather is changeable, what was the weather like there in October and was it busy.We stayed in Salata for two weeks last October. We would happily stay again though a lot of pitches were shaded.
I would book up though as it was full when we were there and lots were being turned away at reception. They took ACSI when we were there.
What size van do you haveLooking at going around this area for the whole of October. Any recommendations for sites and places to visit.

Salata is great and on acsi cheaper than the aire next door ,however it will be cold especially in the evening.Le Jonquer is the border town full of 100's of lorries and ladies !Looking at going around this area for the whole of October. Any recommendations for sites and places to visit.

Think we had one night of rain. Shorts & T shirts weather when we were there.I know the weather is changeable, what was the weather like there in October and was it busy.
Not Rose's..., but we have regularly visited L'Estartit just down the coast.
Camping Les Medes is the only site that stays open over the winter. It's an ACSI site attracting the top rate but has a nice bar, cafe, shop and heated indoor pool. About 1km out of the town so a bike is a bonus. Lidl nearby and well priced filling station opposite.
Nice cycling area and nice beach and town (town doesn't stop completely for winter but does slow down)
Camping area Costa Brava is in the centre of town. Cheaper than the campsite but without the facilities although does have toilets, showers laundrette etc. Bit tighter together pitches and doesn't drain well when it rains.
I asked in case you had a panel van7.2m A class
If you like lovely showers then try Rodas, immaculateAnother vote for camping Salata, close to the town/beach and probably the best campsite showers we’ve ever experienced
You're thinking of Camping Joncar Mar, I think. Stayed at Camping Rodas last year but in May. For those who like a freebie, Avinguda del Clot dels Franquets Nord which is immediately south of Camping Rodas might be worth a try. Quite a few park along there. There’s another site nearer towards the town centre, Jonquera or something like that which we rode around on our bikes but not for us, looking like lots of untidy long termers making it look a bit untidy.
Roses is very pleasant. Definitely don’t stay at Joncamar, it’s awful. Extremely tight spaces, vans packed like sardines and very untidy. Stayed one night and left.

Camping Salata is the best. Excellent site 3 minutes to promenade. Been about 5/6 times since 2017. Going again November. On acsi but their deals on 7 or more are cheaper. You can also supplement acsi rate to get bigger serviced pitch for a few euros.Looking at going around this area for the whole of October. Any recommendations for sites and places to visit.

A scary drive particularly down as drivers coming up cut the corners and we got hit taking out a mirror. If you don't mind driving up twisty hill roads Cadaques is worth a visit that time of year but avoid in peak season
Try camping mas nou loverly pool and bar and mercodona 2mins away it's on ACSI7.2m A class
