Is Alde Pink fluid electrically conductive or corrosive

AI says

Alde Pink fluid, also known as Alde Premium Antifreeze, is not electrically conductive and is designed to be corrosion-inhibiting. It's specifically formulated to protect the internal components of Alde heating systems from corrosion and freezing...
Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Corrosion Inhibition:
The primary function of Alde Pink fluid is to prevent corrosion within the heating system. It contains corrosion inhibitors that protect the boiler, pipes, and other metal components from rust and degradation.

  • Not Electrically Conductive:
While it's a liquid, Alde Pink fluid is not designed to conduct electricity. Its primary purpose is to transfer heat and protect the system from corrosion, not to be an electrical conductor.

  • Antifreeze Properties:
It also acts as an antifreeze, protecting the system from freezing in cold temperatures. When mixed with water, it provides frost protection down to -36 degrees Celsius, according to Leisure Shop Direct.

I didn’t realise they did 2 different Pink fluids, I was talking about this Bowl cleaner that Aldi has in the centre isles every so often.

10 out of 10 it isn't conductive just tried some in the garage everyday is a school day.

This is a myth. Pure water is actually an excellent pretty good insulator.
correct..

but pure doesn't come from a tap or even a fall from the sky..

it has to be deionised and filtered to remove any impurities .. as is done in water treatment plants for boilers at power stations where ions and cations are removed

So would you lot say that pink alde fluid leaking and running the CBE consumer via all the cables entering at the top is a good or bad thing
not a great thing ... despite was they say

Well if that is the case, how? When my fridge door circuit board gets damp/condensation it causes a short until being dried,
I also had a pal at school got electrocuted while using a hair drier while in the bath? 😳

Rog said PURE water i.e. distlled water not common water that has loads of minerals in it.

Very bad, the fluid itself I think is non corrosive as the pink stuff in the water is to prevent corrosion but while in the heating system it will have picked up contaminants.

Well must have been the bubble Bath 🤣 still electrocuted him
Also must have used mineral water on the sponge in the green mile 😮

This is laughable

They say some of the wiring is the wrong colour so that’s been the problem 😱🤔

They’re all copper inside 😉👍

BTW the Moho is only 40 months old so am I correct in thinking that it’s not fit for purpose or of not merchantable quality. That is both CBE consumer unit and Alde boiler

Who’s to blame would you say?

To a degree it the designers. These people don’t understand shit happens and things leak. Who puts a system containing water directly above a box of dangerous electrics?? No one with any common sense.

Had to deal with something similar myself recently.
