Dethleffs Globebus
Hi,

I have a Dethleffs Globebus i6 on order and it has "Pre-wiring for satellite system". I see the socket inside next to the TV bracket, but wondered if anyone knows where the other end is? Does it present externally or is the other end hidden elsewhere inside the van in readiness for a hole to be drilled? (Hoping it's the latter as I would like to use it but don't fancy drilling holes. Also suspect that making holes will compromise the water ingress warranty)!

Thanks in anticipation.

Peter

If it's anything like my 2017 Globus I1 that was prewired for a satellite it ment the socket panel had a F type connection but there was nothing behind it.

If you have a tall fridge/freezer it will probably be above that.
Thanks Lenny. Do you reckon it will just be a cable end there as opposed to anything presenting on tyhe outside of the van?
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks Steve/Tracy......you mean just a socket that wasn't even cabled? (Doesn't sound like prewiring)! ;-)

Thanks Lenny - much appreciated. I wonder what I can or cannot do without voiding the water ingress warranty!?
I never worry about it, I take the view unless it was something I'd done I don't see how they can get out of their manufacturing defects.

As per Lenny HB its in the void above the fridge. I have a video somewhere showing how to take off the panel if you cant work it out

Found it
