Run to the sun….

Thank you for the update Garry, I do hope he gets his time away with the family, I think It will be important to them.

I believe I have said before; the pain from acute pancreatitis is extreme, i really do sympathise and understand why he is wanting his medication increased.

You will know better than most that there is a big difference between giving up and truly being beaten.

My thoughts are with you and your brother.
 
Well the run to the sun continues…

Came to wells today to pick up something I bought from a fellow Funster and thought we’d make the most of it and stay up here to see the cathedral and such…
The cathedral was £15 each to go in and have a look so that didn’t happen.. 15 quid to have a look around a church…😱

So had a walk around and a coffee.
Went to a pub stop for dinner and to stay the night but it was closed..😳
now at Brent house carvery the other side of the M5 for dinner and to stay the night…☀️😎

Dinner was good and plenty to choose from…
Gluttony is evident in these help yourself carvery’s, eyes too big and the the big eating a big plate full.. I try not to judge as i get judged too but how some of these people don’t get embarrassed by the amount they shove on their plate and then down their gob…😳

I like a big meal sometimes but some are ridiculous…😏

What realy annoys me is what people leave on their plate at carverys

I’m in the North of Spain (potes), no sun, its raining and freezing this evenin so pick your direction carefully

There’s hardly owt there, I was brought up with big meals I’ve never left owt yet, I’m not overweight it’s what you do not what you eat thats the key, the woman in the next table said” Chuff me if you eat that I’ll pay for it” lovely free meal then too.

Mind the second helping I didn't put as much on.

I like a carvery, you can choose just what you want and how much!
Almost the same, we went to a ‘all you can eat’ Chinese at Evesham, years ago, and customers were warned that if they took too much and left it they would be charged.
 
I went to an all you can eat Chinese years ago in South Wales and they limited us so we didn't leave any but I think they fed up when we kept ordering and eating im only little but can tuck it away

But you just can’t get your knife and fork in there, it all squishes off the plate, do you have to pick at the edges..🤔😂

Yes, there where a few plate fulls left, especially where the kids were allowed to get as much as they wanted on their plates and the parent are fully aware of what they’ll eat…😏

Lots of people taking home pudding in a plastic tub…🙃

That's the way it is in many of the buffet places in Spain.

I don’t recall paying for Wells, we usually say we like to say a quiet prayer! They let you pass. Beautiful cathedral too. That and Salisbury are my favourites

Wells is a lovely small city. I’d like to live there

Just a quick update on my new eco-worthy 280a battery that I fitted last week…

On Saturday lunchtime it was 100% and I switched of all chargers solar and b2b as I want to see how much I get.

I turned on the compressor fridge empty to get it cold to put a few things in on Sunday, we came away in the van on Monday morning (yesterday) and had a cuppa last night (electric kettle) and charged up phones and iPad, also had the heating on for a bit, this morning kettle on again and another time for some hot water to wash up maxxfan on and of course fridge on all the time.

Will be going home today via Ikea but will still not put any charge on as I want to go down to around 25% and then I will put chargers on, just want some idea on this lithium malarkey…☺️

The upkeep on these old buildings don't come cheap. However, if you do wish to protest, Matt 21:13 might be a good starting point.

How can anyone go into Ikea and come out with nothing, we all have those things that we can’t do without that sit in the cupboard for years…😆😂

We’re away again next week for a few days, further up north too, hope I’ll find some sun up there because although it fairly sunny here it’s very cold… thinking of putting the central heating on again…😱😱😱☀️😎
