    The FRENCH book of Aires.
I don't mean the book avaliable from Vicarous "All the Aires France" I already have that one but several people we met whilst travelling through France said the French produced book of Aires has far more in it. I tried in lots of book shops across France whilst we were travelling but to no avail.

Oh b********! We had this one--the French version, found it in a bookshop in Lourdes, but of course that was more than 4 yrs ago now :-(

I can try the book dept at my local Leclerc if you like, on Friday. Staff are quite helpful there.

    There's this one on Amazon:
    [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Guide-aires-service-Centre-France/dp/2952402337/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1318448825&sr=8-4"]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Guide-aires-service-Centre-France/dp/2952402337/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1318448825&sr=8-4[/ame]
And i'm almost certain this is one we had , in earlier edition:
    [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/guide-officiel-Aires-services-camping-car/dp/235839002X/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1318448825&sr=8-7[/ame]

I think you're talking about "Guide Officiel des Aires de Services Camping Car", this is the one we've always used for the very reason you state - it has got lots more in than the English language version which, despite it's name, does not have all the aires in. You can also get POIs for the location of the aires in it, and it is more up to date we believe.

The last one we bought in September from Carrefour at Cite Europe, Coquelles, Calais, but we saw it in a few supemarkets whilst in France.

Amazon seem to be out of stock and this is what Vicarious say about it (but then they might):

We will not be stocking the 2011 guide as
All the Aires France is greatly superior in both quality of information and quantity of French Aires.

Le Guide National Aires De Services Camping Cars Published by Les Guides Lariviere, also publishers of Le Monde du Camping Car magazine.

    Key Information

    • Written in French
    • 1840 Aires de service in France
    • GPS in the following format: N43º46'59-W1º23'39
    • Most comprehensive French Aires guide available
    • Good Maps
Le Guide National is the most comprehensive French Aires guide written in French.

Thanks for all your replies. It would seem that this is the one I want

If anyone comes across one I would be very grateful if they could get it for me & contact me thanks.
Seems most of the others are well out of date.
