The FRENCH book of Aires.
I don't mean the book avaliable from Vicarous "All the Aires France" I already have that one but several people we met whilst travelling through France said the French produced book of Aires has far more in it. I tried in lots of book shops across France whilst we were travelling but to no avail.

Oh b********! We had this one--the French version, found it in a bookshop in Lourdes, but of course that was more than 4 yrs ago now :-(

I can try the book dept at my local Leclerc if you like, on Friday. Staff are quite helpful there.

Sometimes we do have trouble finding one to buy as they sell out very quickly

l,eclerc super markets normally have them .thats where i buy mine . dont buy them here too dear. i use le monde camping aires book.
mind in france you jusr head for a village always somewhere to park. look for the church .many have nice clean toilets and hot water. not any good on saturdays though gets busy.

I think you're talking about "Guide Officiel des Aires de Services Camping Car", this is the one we've always used for the very reason you state - it has got lots more in than the English language version which, despite it's name, does not have all the aires in. You can also get POIs for the location of the aires in it, and it is more up to date we believe.

The last one we bought in September from Carrefour at Cite Europe, Coquelles, Calais, but we saw it in a few supemarkets whilst in France.

ahh weee
je parle francais c,est non probleme.
the french ones are easy to follow .
even if you have to use a dictionary to help you its good for learning.
you see them in supermarkets all over france. think my last one was about 3quid.

the one you are looking for is Le Guide National Des AIRES DE SERVICES Camping Cars you can get them in most supermarkets or newsagents in France the 2012 edition will be in the shops around March/April, at least that is when we see them where we live in Cognac.
