I'm pretty boring compared to many ... I am involved with a pair of traditional narrowboats operated by the Narrowboat Trust, albeit haven't been boating on them for a while and the rest is DIY either on the boats, on the Moho, at the offsprings houses, at the bar we own or at the static van we have in France. Tomorrow is urinal unblocking day at the bar, whoo-hoo!

My hobbies are Walking & Scuba Diving mainly in South Devon near Salcombe, I am a team member of South west Maritime Archaeological Group, in 1991 we found Bronze age Tin ingots & Cannon, in 1995 we found over 400 Gold coins & other item from 1640, then in 2004 we found the largest collection of Bronze age items, swords, gold, ingots of Tin & Copper, we are still in the same area now, All items are now in the British Museum

Tried curling once - it was absolutely fascinating. Sadly, not much opportunity here in Suffolk. I've always been a dinghy racer (I see you sail solos - you might have met Steve Ede, a friend of mine) and have owned many, the favourite being an Osprey. Powerful easy to handle boat. Would like to take up air rifle target shooting soon

Excuse the poor technique, we had just recovered from falling off a big wave and tea-bagging my crew....

Don't do it now but used to use a pistol for 10 metre indoors, field target shooting and a big indoor range (up to 40 metres) for the rifle which was a Daystate Airwolf. Superb piece of kit and partially regret selling it but after moving there was no opportunity to use it.

Ok. I used to shoot in the National HFT (Hunter Field Target) Champs.
Had a couple of top 10 finishes, for the year, with several hundred competing.
Weihrauch HW100 with thumbhole stock was my weapon of choice
Never really got on with pistol. Enjoyed it, just not very good.
Been toying with the idea of taking it up again. Might have a go at HFT in the ā€œSpringerā€ class.
Now that is test after getting used to PCP rifles.

Weā€™re the opposite, john is a golfer, i donā€™t mind watching it on tv but for me it is a good walk spoiled, although i tend to stroll. When weight issues meant it was the motorbike or the golf clubs the bike won. I like cycling abroad, but again canā€™t take the bikes and the KTM since we downsized.
I love reading, knitting and people watching.

Quoting to my hubby the types of air rifles named on this site including this posting and he say yes, got one of them, yes had one of them - mentioned your Weihrauch and he said - always ooooh always wanted one of those with thumbhole stock - very nice. Ps last seen BB forum!?:giggle:

Probably sounds boring but since I retired I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles. I noticed a friend had taken one away with him to do whilst attending one of the Warner shows and decided that once I was retired I would do them and sit outside (in the sun doing them) it started to get expensive as I was doing them at home during the lockdowns but Iā€™ve joined a few Facebook groups where we buy or swap.

Yep, noticed it was an old thread after I posted.
The paddleboarding new, bought one for daughters birthday press last year but her hubby bought her one as well so I kept it for myself. More junk to lug around in the van.
