The Turners ( marieturner) and (rayv8) AKA Marie and Rex and Joan and Ray are on their way south!:Rofl1::thumb:

Wed 7th Nov - 8.15am Sea France ferry to Calais after spending the night parked up on Marine Drive - legit and free!!(between 6pm and 9am).:Rofl1:
Drove to Honfleur just over the Pont De Normandie.
Aire open and plenty of space - hook up and waste dump all for 7 Euros.

Thurs 8th Nov - long day with lots of laughter - Honfleur to Le Mans. - fun and games in Champion supermarkets trying to fill up. See Gallery for Caption Competition - Ray trying to fill up in a garage with a low canopy - the poor cashier couldn't believe her eyes and thought it was hilarious!:Rofl1:
Arrived at an aire in Laigne en Belin just south of Le Mans. In reality it was the village car park behind the church and Casino mini market. Again legit and free!

Fri 9th Nov - Gave up on N roads and villages and got on the autoroute to Champagnac La Riviere - Parc Verger - warm welcome from Bob and Di.
Had a great couple of days here - good trail for cycling.
Went to the village remembrance service on Sunday.

Mon 12th Nov - Now we're off south towards Spain and (we hope!) warmth!:Rofl1:

It's 8C here at 10.15 am but feels colder!

    More soon!

    Marie

    Update 14th November

Monday 12th - We stayed at a France Passion site near Toulouse - a Violet "farm" down a long bendy narrow lane lined with trees and under a lowish motorway bridge - Jim, Suzy, Geo, Gary - don't go there!!!!!
Free night but we ended up buying a violet posy, a violet plant and some honey - quite pressurised selling!!

Tuesday 13th - Sun shining and off to Spain - pleasant drive - if a little windy. Soon arrived in Roses and found Camping Salata. 4pm and temperature 18 degrees. Strolled into town along the front.:Rofl1::Rofl1:

Wednesday 14th - woken early by stong winds and rain. Rain didn't last but at 3pm it's still blowing a gale - sun out and sky blue- about 15 degrees. Apparently it'll do the same tomorrow and then be gorgeous again! Staying here for a week.

    Marie

Sorry not posted for a while - internet access been a bit patchy!

The gales continued in Roses for another day and after that it was just cold and pretty miserable!

We walked quite a bit and went to Empurias Brava - nice place - how the other half live!! - 9 mile walk!

Left Roses on Tuesday 20th and went to Benicasim - Camping Bonterra.
A bit claustrophobic with the metal frames and hedges around the pitches - facilities first class though.
    Lovely beach and prom.

Left there on Friday 23rd and went to Sucina near Murcia where we visited friends at their house.

Saturday 24th we went to La Manga ( or La Manky to give it our new name!!!!)
Facilities excellent but again claustrophobic with the high hedges!
    Shanty statics didn't help!
    Less than beautiful beach.
    Good restaurant.
Torrential rain left campsite roads with white water rafting rivers! At least 4 inches deep and impassible on foot!

Sunday 25th - long drive to Cabopino near Marbella. Lovely friendly site - good facilities - excellent beach / little marina / port. Cafe on beach OK. Naturist beach for those inclined but seemed to be full of solo nude males!!!!

Staying here until weekend - anyone else hiding here??

Will put out some MHFun flyers!!!

    Bye
    Marie and Rex
    :Rofl1: Still enjoying ourselves!:Rofl1:

    Cabopino

Can't believe there aren't any Mhfunsters here at Cabopino Park!!!:Rofl1:

    Where are you all??

Come and see us on pitches before and B6 if you're here!:Rofl1: The Knaus and the Winnebago.

Don't worry Jim - the flyers have been going out on various sites along the way! :Rofl1:

We'll do a sweep around Cabopino Park! :Rofl1::Rofl1:

Saw Ray and Debbie from Desert Detours today - they were visiting somebody on site - they saw my post on the "other side" and came to see us. When do you guys go to Morocco then?

Staying here until Sunday then Portugal bound!! :Rofl1:
