I can only assume that this occurred when the skylight suddenly blew open in strong winds a week or so ago..

Last night the pivot pin came out when I opened the skylight just before retiring... and I can see that one end has snapped off...

Have any of you Guys n Gals relpaced these pins; i.e are they available?

Or am I looking for an alternative fix (pin) setup?..

I would just replace with a suitable nut & bolt, find a bolt with enough plain part so not rotating on thread.

@Manic that was my immediate thought ;) because if said pins exist they'll probably be a zillion quid each!.

Use either stainless or plastic - cold metal will attract condensation. If you can't obtain an OE part find a plastic knitting needle the same diameter. Knitting needles are an excellent source of plastic rod because they are available in many different diameters. Apparently they're quite useful for creating woollen garments too :D.

When I wanted some all the knitting needles I could find here were hollow ,thin wall steel tube :(
