Nice and with a 4250kg payload, after looking yesterday the smaller Rapidos worry me due to low payloads and I think most can only be increased to 3600 or 3700 depending on chassis. Most research need. Thinking 3500kg for family of 4 is just too low as payload would be 300-400kg??? . Even thou it means wife cannot drive without taking her C1.
Payload (or lack of) is a frequent French van failing. I got mine at 3650 but had to fit higher load tyres and air assist at the rear with SV tech Uprating to 3850. The only real way it to stick the actual van across a weighbridge. I'm shocked at the number of 6 berth vans sold on 3500

I'm a newbe
WE have a Rapido 7078F plated at 3850Kg on a Alko chassis, 3 berth.
Am looking to up plate to 4250Kg because we carry a load of stuff including an inflatable kayak with all associated bits, so I suggest avoid a 3500Kg M/H.

Mines a 4 berth at 3850. I think if you bought a 4 berth at 3500 you would have the payload you mention. If you want a 6 berth to get the extra bed then pretty much forget it at 3500. There's no way it would work with 4 adults.

'er indoors can't drive ours because she's T1 diabetic so can't have C1. It's no big deal though, we don't tend to do long days because the dogs get fed up. We tend to drive in the morning and then park up and explore. That makes driving no great chore.

Hymer b654.
The older ones are 6 berth.
2 in fixed bed, double drop down at front, and dining table drops down to make another double.

Yes, you're quite correct.
The more modern ones are 4 berth and belted seats.
