Hi
When we were travelling from almeria to catch the ferry at Santander last week it was lunchtime and we were on the motorway when my wife suddenly decided to get an item from the fridge , when returning to her seat we were overtaken by the Guardia Civil who spotted this and pulled us on to the next slip road. Two police approached and required our documents and then told us it was 110 euro fine for the seat belt offence and he also noticed that our dog was not tethered which was another 110 euro,s (this was turning into an expensive piece of cheese). Then our luck changed as he informed us that today no ticket and he would escort us back onto the motorway , but lessons learned
We knew this was illegal but you can sometimes get a bit lax after 6 months touring
