It's because all the 12v adapters I have, are not powerful enough to charge an iPad.Sorry, but do you really need an inverter when you could use 12v adapters to charge all these which would use less of your leisure battery power?

I need an inverter to charge my iPad/ iPhones and possibly a mac book air.
Any idea what size inverter I would need please? And does it need to be pure sine wave?
Are there likely to be any at Newark this weekend?

I have a retractable USB cable kit with adapters for all 3 types of USB port. A retractable lead with the normal pin type connector on for my sony prs-505...
I can leave these plugged in all the time without wasting too much battery power. If I was to use an inverter I would either have to charge all my devices at the same time or worry about how much quiescent power the inverter was using...
