Have you got a link? I thought registering only applied over a certain wattageInteresting but ilegal in the EU unless registered and insured as a motor vehicle.
I've no idea Lenny, I wondered if there was something in print. Would that be on new purchases or retrospective too?I thought from Jan this year it applied to all e-bike unless peddle assited.

I swear to the Good Lord Above that if someone invented a light weight pair of shoes that cost €5.25 and enabled the wearer to fly effortlessly and totally safely, over land or water for as long as they liked, folk on here would post stuff like...
"All well and good but the shoe laces are the wrong colour" or,
"You could bump your head going through door ways" or,
"What is wrong with walking? Does me alright".

Rim drive has been seen before and (IIRC) so has self-contained drive & power source. This is novelty engineering not lateral thinking. There are a number of E bike companies that are genuinely driving the concept forward - this isn't one of them. Problems: the weight is in the wrong place; it has an inefficient friction drive mechanism; friction drive is compromised by dirt and water.What a great bit of lateral thinking and engineering.
