Reminds me of seeing a woman back in the 70's in high heel sandals going up Snowden (the long way).
Thats not as daft as it sounds.
at least her feet were level.....well, going up at least.

Cant see the point in climbing Snowden when theres a perfectly good, if somewhat expensive, rack and pinion train can take you to the summit.

I did the ben on my 30th birthday in august and it was -2 at the top.

Pretty hairy coming down with very limited visibility.. at one point we couldn't see our knees and even the three peakers were trudging slowly

Much more enjoyable walking up and easier on the wallet, no sense of achievement getting the train.

We done Ben Nevis many years ago, hard going, and never thought we would make it to the top, can still remember it as if it were yesterday. Done it in July and there was still snow on top,and misty, so not a good view.
