We are currently meandering our way through France and use a combination of 3G/4G and Wifi to keep in touch. We use 3 for both the phone and the data SIM in the MifI and everything has worked fine. I am aware of the possibility of being disconnected by '3' after 2 months So does anyone have a recommendation for a short term economic French data SIM that we could use in the MiFi device in case '3' disconnect us?

Thanks to minxygirl for her informative mobile posts!

Orange last year and previous years had a 'Let's Go' deal at various rates for different amounts of data. I paid €20 for 2 Gb for a month but I had to buy the data sim a few years ago, don't know what they charge now.

SFR have a similar deal but in either case it is necessary to re charge in one of their stores.

5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!

The way I dealt with it was to buy a second SIM and keep it as a spare to start using if they cut me off oin the old one. I was away for 5 weeks and was not cut off.
Yes have done the same, my spare 3 data card was off line for around 11 months but still worked when I topped it up in France.
