i also have a santander zero account as i also have my morgage with them,i will try later see what there rate is?cheers:thumb:Hi Chris,
we have Santander zero account, only available to certain customers with a certain other product that many of the retired funsters won't have
This allows us cash out of the cash machine and debit card transactions at the rate of that day without any charge or commission fee.
We use Nationwide Credit Card that has the same deal although you can't use that for cash withdrawal as you incur charges. :thumb:

I looked into some of these commission free deals the banks where offering. It may have changed now, but at the time, it was just a marketing ploy.
They give you transactions commission free, but then make the money back by giving you a much less exchange rate.
As I said, it may be different now, but when I looked (a few years ago) it was cheaper to stick with my regular Platinum LloydsTSB rather than have it commission free with Nationwide.
The banks are always one step ahead.

If you do't have a santander zero account you can still get a Santander Zero credit card which is commission free on foreign purchases but does charge for cash withdrawals.
