Any Space Left?

Hi Jez and Lin, if you have any spaces left can you include us? Coming down from Southport after the RV meet so from 18th to 25th if possible.

Please let me know if there are any discrepancies from the list below (I have indicated electric as requested). Will be in touch with a further update soon. I am assuming most would like to have a meal probably at the weekend in the Marquee the Site restaurant is providing plus entertainment. Hi Jez

I am a bit confuzzed about this meet now. Please humour me and re-post the dates? I have got it in my head that it is a two week meet, of which we can make one week. We would like the meal in the marque but need to work out if we will be there at the same time as the meal. :Confused:

Its 16th to 26th June, therefore I was looking at either Friday 20th or Saturday 21st for the meal only because I thought most people would be booked in for the weekend. Also England haven't a World Cup match on either of those dates

You posted that you were coming 16th - 22nd earlier so you'd be okay.

By the way the dates are on the Calendar

Norden Farm seem to want me to take the pitch fees rather than everyone turning up at the shop to pay which is fine. I don't know about the meal at the moment but will try & speak to the Catering manager next week. I think if I can firm up numbers before hand it will be pay at the time. The EHU's x 4 on the non electric field (if that makes sense ) should be available for charging leisure batteries as required. Just to remind everyone its £11 per night plus £3 if on electric. There is a modern toilet block close by with good showers & this is inclusive of the fee.

Yes all expenses from the Rally will be submitted against my CGT liability, the fees & meal receipts might well turn into a Boiler, radiators, consumer unit ............etc

Just one ammendment - you forgot to put 'EHU' by my name on the list!!!
Will want hookup please, otherwise all my programmes on Sky+ will get missed

Norden Farm

Norden Farm Campsite has a smashing Rallyfield & is in a really great location.
There has been a number of Threads mentioning it recently including myself recommending it.
The site is a 20 minute walk from Corfe Castle & very pleasant at that. there are also lovely walks all around many taking in quaint Dorset Pubs !!!
There is a Bus stop directly outside the site which links with all the local towns & the coast which has fine beaches & safe bathing.
the site has a well stocked shop & a nice Restaurant but would only be open for cream teas & Sunday breakfasts at that time of year, however don't get the wrong impression this is a very uncommercialised site & still a working Farm.
I haven't approached the site owners as yet so don't know the rates etc. but as we were on site at the end of June the rallyfield wasn't in use. I know the C&C Club are using it in August but beyond that I don't know.
I suppose at this stage I just need to know if there is enough interest to take it further, so over to you........................

Have you fixed any dates. wife retires end of February. We have been going to Norden farm in our caravan since 1982. when Mr Ram managed the farm. Now have a Motorhome and a bus pass very handy.

Dorset Fun Rally 16th - 26th June

Hi All,
Update re: the arrangements. I have spoken to the Caterers at Norden House Restaurant regards the food & entertainment and this is where we are now.
The Chef will be contacting me with some options based on £8 per head, I have suggested that this will be based on around 40 Units being there on either Friday or Saturday Night, ( 64 Vans have currently pledged to come for part or all of the 10 days) therefore looking at possibly 80 ish people.
They are putting a bar on for us with real ales, ciders etc. and to follow we have Elvis 1709 putting on a tribute act (can't guess who!) with possibly some Buddy Holly thrown in and then music & dancing to finish so should be a good night and all to be held in a Marquee in the Restaurant grounds.
Obviously I am going to need a fair idea of who is interested in this for catering arrangements and although its still early could you please PM me if you want to be included as I am sure the majority will be. If you have already responded there's no need to do it again.
I will reply when I know what options the Chef has for us.:thumb:
