Good aire where we live in Riantec with tons of dog friendly beach & park. There's two aires both on the D781 each side of the village. One is directly on the beach, t'other is next to a big park with the Rian river running through it.

Audierne in that part of Brittany that is named Cornouaille (in Breton Kernev or Kerne)

As an aside, this name is 'almost' Cornwall, as is one of the Breton names, similar to the Cornish Kernow.

Lovely Aire very close to the river and a stones throw from a lively town and about a mile or so from the beaches of the Atlantic.

Hello, we're just below Brittany tonight in Piriac sur Mer. Will be setting off in the morning to have a wander through Brittany before we go north to the tunnel at the end of the month. Will probably head towards the top of Brittany as we did a lot of the southern part last year. Will let you know if we find any Aires you might like. So far we've been lucky with dog friendly beaches and lakes but will take our lead from the locals if we find any dog bans!! Expect you're getting excited now, June's not far away!! Give our love to the good old IOW!!

Point de la Torche - big wide beach, not sure about dog access. Nearest aire is St Guenole (no services) - not overnighting allowed by the beach itself.

Another vote here for Le Croisic, although don't expect it to entertain you for days on end. Five smallish aires to choose from, the most handy of which overlooks the marina. The service point is at a nearby aire beside the station, but it's not as pleasant a stopover. Interesting WW2 bunker museum a little way down the road, plus the usual quaint Breton stuff.

Looks like you've already done all the other places I like in Brittany.

I fear that one is now closed, but I will check next week, we are back in the area from Wednesday for a couple of months.

Hello, we're just below Brittany tonight in Piriac sur Mer.

Don't tell the locals that you are not in Brittany, have you noticed the road signs:)

Technically Pays de Loire, historically Brittany, there is a movement to restore the area to Brittany.

is the place full of the dreaded English?
It does seem, from this thread, that those English get everywhere. During our 2 weeks we only saw 3 or 4 Brits in passing or on Aires but mostly we were the only Brits around.
We did however smell a Brit....One Sunday morning on the Aire in Rothenuf we could smell bacon cooking. I walked around the dividing fence and sure enough..... the French must have been salivating like we were!
Enjoy Brittany.
Best regards
Nik.

Just down from Erquy is Pleneuf Val Andre. Quite a nice aire and a short walk from the promenade and beach. Take a nice leisurely walk into the town and try one of the restaurants there.
When we go to Erquy, we park next to the beach at La Ville Berneuf. No overnighting, but there is a nice campsite there if you decide to stay ( Camping place de Saint Pabu) although we have never used it. It's a fantastic beach, you can walk for miles if the tide is out.
We are off to Raguenes Plage at Nevez tomorrow for a few days. My Brother has a Gite at Tregunc for a week so we are meeting up there. Lovely beach and 2 beachside Aires.
Have a great time wherever you go, it's all nice.
Just be aware, most popular beaches ban dogs from May through the summer, not that the French take much notice!

Bonjour from a windy but sunny Quiberon (N47degrees29.500 W003degrees08.334). This is a beautiful spot right on the coast and from the van we've got wonderful views across the sea and headland. Elmo is in his element because there is small lake right beside us he can swim in. There are miles of paths to walk/cycle but no sea swimming as it's a rough bit of coast here. All in all the most spectacular bit of scenery so far. The Aire is big but plenty of nice areas to get out of wind and enjoy the sun. You need to go stocked up as shops are a little bit far to walk to. Thoroughly recommend this Aire and only 6.40 euros!

Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but there is a nice ex-campsite aire at Plougonvelin in the Brest area. Good sized spaces, 8 euro inc electricity, shower, toilets, casette point abd water drain but no drinking water. Good views, close to beaches and walks on the GR34 coastal path.

Slowly heading that way at the mo, but the way things are, it could take a while (plenty of nice aires). Presently at Plouha. Lovely evening, just sampled an Armagnac at the local bar overlooking the bay at high tide. 4 hours ago it was 100 metres out.We will take our time!!
