There is a good selection in Currys
    We bought a Sony £69.99
Just go in and connect to each one and play some music

It will also take phone calls

I know you said you didn't want one but it's another vote for the bose soundlink mini. As @NickNic said it's a great bit of kit. It also has a great battery life. In the van we use it as the tv speaker as well as playing music via bluetooth

You should of course cut your cloth to your budget. Having connected to a few in store I still didn't feel the bose was worth more than double the price of the Sony.

Definitely Bose, expensive but total quality, we have the soundtouch 30`s at home streaming our music from iTunes & spotify.
In the motorhome soundtouch 10 is more than ample, you can pick them up from the bose store refurbished for £150.

Conversley I have the iPhone 6 but my hearing cannot measure the difference in relation to price and I don't think it will handle your incoming phone calls either

But don't you need active speakers to play it through looks like it just provides the source?

Bose are good, got a sound bar recently and it is superb. For a smaller speaker I recently got an Anker mini bluetooth speaker, brilliant, check out their range.
