Abbey Wood Caravan Club site .... it really is fantastic. How do I know? It's at the top of my street and we store Elvis (our MH) there. It's like an Oasis in the middle of a built up area, a really beautiful site, and helpful wardens and all the things you would expect from a Club site.
Best of all, trot down the hill (bout 10-15 mins) and you have a small row of shops and the train station, 20 mins to London Bridge station, extra 5 mins to Charing X , Cannon St & waterloo. return ticket is about £5. Greenwich en route too. Last train from London is about 12.30ish but there is a night bus (£2!) and this goes all night & the stop is less then 5 mins walk from the site.
I think it's a great site and so close to central London (& all the tubes) by train... I should know, I live here!
Give it a try and spend some quality time in good old London town too!
