Several of you on another thread have said you've fitted the normal C rail instead of using the track in the awning. I believe this is a 7.5 mm channel and the awning channels are 5 mm. Apart from the ease of threading are you guys happy about the normal Kampa type strip not pulling out of the rail.

Also have any of you tried using the drive away kits with the Kampa air type awnings.

Many thanks for any input in advance.

The Kampa Rally Air Pro has a double bead.. 4 mm for a pullout Awning and 6mm for a rail

I fitted a rail a couple of weeks ago... http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/awning-rail-fitted-for-kampa-rally-air-pro.135228/
and it was blowing hard when we were at Wales.. no problems with it pulling out

NOTE: It actually pulls over more to the right to completely clear the fridge vent

We're thinking of doing the same thing - can you report back to let us know if it's as easy as @scotjimland says - don't forget we're numpties and Mark is left handed and doesn't have a full complement of digits!
