Excellent! So I'm waiting at the Eurotunnel terminal in Calais, get a knock at the door...
Turns out it's fellow Funster @stevec
We've not met before, Steve was just passing and noticed my Funster sticker. What a lovely gesture to stop and say hello.
Aren't Funsters great

Still got your wallet?? Just check.......And your camera.........What a lovely gesture to stop and say hello.
It was good to meet you as well, always nice to put a face to a name. We've met a couple of funsters on sites, we met Ranger and his wife at the beginning of March and Wendy just before Chester, as I saw their badges in the window and thought I'd say hello.

Agree whole heartedly, and we do meet others. In my experience most travellers are very friendly .. so why wait until you see a Funster badge .. ?
It could be a long wait..
At the end of the day, Funster or not, we are all but ships passing in the night .. stop and say Hi .. have made a lot of friends by just saying hello to a neighbour on an aire .. and many were not Brits...

But short of saying"Are you a Funster?" and sounding like someone from a very bad spy novel, the sticker is a good way to identify fellow members.
I like to make the effort, on occasion some people are really glad to have a Brit to talk to. I think it was at Le Crotoy, I met a solo traveler who hadn't spoken to anyone British for a monthIn my experience most travellers are very friendly .. so why wait until you see a Funster badge .. ?

Next morning it was like we'd never met... by lunchtime they were back in 'the zone' and we could become friends all over again.
This pattern continued for the duration of our stay, and no they weren't Funsters
... but i've spoken to many fellow travellers and at some point will ask if they are members of Fun or any other motorhome forum .. and been surprised how few are.. most don't use forums...
Do you know the racers name? @thehutchiesI've been talking to a motorhoming sidecar racer this week and thought it had to be that chap off here @Enword (how many can there be, really?), but no, never heard of us.

The young and hip couple were nowhere in sight when I took this photo, but the very old and unhip Cliff wanted his photo taken next to a classic!
