Yes it's an 40-150 2.8 ('80 - 300mm' 35mm equivalent). superb lens, weatherproof, frostproof and tiny (Really tiny) compared to the full frame equivalents. The E-M1's IS is excellent, that shot was taken with a 1.4 converter making the focal length around 420mm and hand held.

Wow that is tiny! Less than half the weight of my 100-400 for the same focal length

The same Moon I guess came up just after my sunset Jim (but in the East ) but we were eating so couldn't get out to get it although it would have made a cracking shot just over the horizon and a slight Orange colour.

Yes 2.8 all the way, the front does not rotate and the length remains the same throughout the range. Perfect.

On the River Cherwell in Oxfordshire (OK so they were taken yesterday, I didn't get to do any uploading last night) on a canal walk from our campsite at Bletchingdon. A lovely 3-mile walk to a very nice tea-room at Thrupp (they do hot meals and pies too). Lots of really interesting canal architecture.

Today we walked along the Thames in the direction of London instead of Oxford (called the River Isis at this point). There were lots of bridges so I thought I'd give you a flavour (not as good as @andeb 's flavour in the last picture though!!!)
You'll all be aware I'm not a 'photographer' - I don't have a fancy camera either - I just do snaps of things that I like, things that make me smile, or things that will help me remember my day. Hope you like some of them.

This part of the river also has bits of canal incorporated. This bridge is part of a lay-by for canal boats! These few photos are at Iffley Lock.

Strictly speaking, these bridges are over locks; but they're still bridges!

This is called The Mathematical Bridge, apparently a copy of a bridge in Cambridge.

These geese were a bit of fun.

The strength of this reflection was quite disconcerting - made me a bit dizzy!

A recent thread mentioning Lech Walesa sprang to mind when I saw this - "Peace and Socialism" - not two words that often go well together - for some reason it seems that if you care about equity you have to spend your life fighting.
