Yes please! Geoff & Carol. Pleased you've sorted out the weather.Emmit added a new event:
WEATHER ORDERED!!!
EASTER AT AVON BANK MEADOWS
WYRE PIDDLE , PERSHORE, WORCS.
27th March - 3rd April 2024 (incl.) 7nt Rally
Bookings will be accepted for this Rally at 7.00pm onwards on Sunday 10th December.
Once again, we are pleased to invite all Subscribing Funsters to Avon Bank Meadows at Wyre Piddle in Worcestershire at Easter 2024.
If you wish to have a place at this popular venue, all you have to do is post on this thread, something like, āIād like to come.ā No more is needed.
Please read the below information.
For reasons of safety, this Rally is āAdults Onlyā We have no objections to children visiting for the day.
We cannot accept bookings from āThird Partiesā. Each Funster will have to make their own booking.
Location: Avon Bank Meadows Campsite, Mill Lane, Wyre Piddle, Worcestershire. WR10 2JF
This is a Caravan and Motorhome Club CL. with a Rally field. The field has EHU and an aerial socket for all. (TV reception without this is not the best).
Avon Bank was awarded the Caravan and Motorhome Club CL of the Year 2018.
It's beside the River Avon which is navigable. Although I'm told it's Close Season for Fishing at Easter, boating/kayaking/canoeing are allowed from the site.
It can be seen that the space available for this event could be described as 'compact and bijoux'. I reluctantly therefore have to restrict attendees to Coachbuilt and A Class 'vans (and smaller). We cannot accommodate R.V.'s
The event starts at 12 noon on Wednesday 27th March
finishing at 11.00am Wednesday 3rd April
EHU Pitches are Ā£18per night. ie 7nts = Ā£126
We will accept bookings of 4 nights or more. However, if this is the case there will be a small add on to cover our costs. ie 4nts = Ā£75, 5nts = Ā£92, 6nts = Ā£ 109
The Deposit this Year is Ā£20 (non refundable) to be paid by 1st Feb.
The Final Payment to be paid by 1st March
I will send to those Funsters wishing to attend a Conversation, informing them of our Banking details in order for you to send Deposit money when your name goes on āThe List.ā
Any units arriving outside of the start and finish days can only arrive From 12.30 hrs and depart no later the 11.00am (There are other CL/CSās on the road to and from Wyre Piddle which is narrow in places)
Wyre Piddle is within easy walking distance, where there are buses to nearby towns.
Pershore is a flat, pleasant, one mile walk through meadows. Pershore has an ASDA and numerous shops, bars and cafes.
Facilities: Although a basic site, Avon Bank has EHU for each attendee, TV Aerial sockets, and there are several water taps around the site. There are laundry facilities.
Access: Double gates from Mill Lane directly into Wyre Boatyard. Gravel driveway leading to the Field.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome. They must be on leads or tethered on the field. There is ample provision for exercise off the site.
Generators: As there is the availability of EHU for all, No generators will be accepted.
Pop up Gazebos. These will be accepted,
No ground sheets to be deployed.

Yes, I just saw this!Pershore got a special mention on the BBC weather forecast tonight.
Darren Bett announced that it did NOT rain in Pershore today.
Apparently the town has had its wettest Winter on record.
When I said I had ordered the weather, I didn't order this.
Must be about the only day since we moved here that it hasn't!! If it carries on like this you're going to need a lot more than webbed feet to get anywhere near the site.Pershore got a special mention on the BBC weather forecast tonight.

We are thinking the same.Well wotmagonnadonow! But thanks for all your work, and still more to come (possibly?). Unfortunately, fruitless. Unlike the Plum Festival! Still it kept you busy in winter time!
